Surge protector?
Is this really needed? We have new Winnebago A sightseer. I can see its purpose,but how often is this an issue? Does hot temps affect power or just poor power availability? And, if needed, what ty...

We use aProgressive Industries Model EMS-HW50C (Hardwired) in our 50 amp FW and a have a 50 to 30 amp cord when 30 amp is only available. Last year we were staying at a lake and the weather was very hot with many people using their AC units and the voltage dropped to below 104 volts and the surge protector shut down the power. The guy staying next to us said his AC went off and still had power on and the AC unit would not start up again for the weekend. I'm sure it was done. When I went to the office the people there said they needed to upgrade there power in the park and there was nothing they could do. I ended up running the genset for the weekend for the AC and won't be going back to that park.
