One look at that board tells me what the Surge Guard DOESN'T have for even self-protection. A $19.95 strip has sseveral MOVs. What I do not see is TVS transient voltage suppressors nor do I see gas discharge tube devices. MOVs, TVS, and GDTs should be connected L-N L-EG N-EG
