Suspension Air bags

Has anyone ever installed "after market" suspension airbags? Successful? Do you find they are necessary and/or work properly?
Thanks!
  • We’ve had our for almost 6 years, they have an automatic air compressor built in and I really can’t adjust them, but in 6 years we’ve not had any problem with them, I just wonder if they are needed?
  • Can’t help you with installation, but like you I’m interested on how well they work. We had them installed before we even hooked our fiver up for the first time, so have always had them. I’m not sure they are necessary and wish we’d tried traveling without them just to see.

I had air bags in my previous TV (many years ago) and it got an air leak. I also got tired of its "air up" and "air down" changes. For my last TV that uses Leaf spring, I installed Timbren SES units. They worked so great, I got Timbren SES units in my 2nd TV (which uses Coil Springs). Been so pleased with this low cost "install it and leave it" Timbren SES product, my future TV will have Timbrens SES units as well. Timbrens SES unit are no air leak, no airing up, no airing down and they are less cost than air bags.

As a suggestion, do investigate timbrens SES units. Works for me...
