Tank Washer

The black tank washer has worked well since new (2011). Today it would not; it seemed like no water went into the tank when I connected a hose to it and turned on the water. I could see the hose pressure up, but there was no sound of the tank spray head running nor any sound of running water at all. I turned off the spigot, and the hose had quite a bit of pressure when I disconnected it from the tank washer, so I do not think that there is a leak in the tank washer line. The hose input has always been closed with a plastic plug and there is a screen that is part of the washer so it does not seem like the tank washer plumbing could have been plugged with dirt somehow.

The only cause I can think of is a faulty vacuum breaker. Agree or other thoughts?

  • Blocked back flow preventer. Look to see if it is part of the sprayer or separate unit.
