Well, I have PRACTICAL experience with both Girrard and Precision Temp RV tankless water heaters. From at least 3 years working on them and some of our RV's as standard equipment, they DO NOT work. PERIOD. They are too cantankerous, If everything is not exactly to spec they do not give correct hot water. The Girrard is 36k BTU and the Precision Temp is 55k BTU. This new USA model from TRUMA is 60k BTU. Until they have been out for a few years, I would NOT waste my money on them. I would NEVER have an RV LP fired Tankless in my RV. We have removed and installed regular water heaters (about 6) over the years under warranty, because they could not perform as expected. This is after the original was replaced with a brand new tankless from the OEM. They are one of the biggest source of complaints we get on water heaters. So, lets see how this new product performs in the next few years before jumping on the bandwagon. You CANNOT compare Residential Tankless with RV models. Completely different animal. Doug
