Really surprised the mods have not removed this thread. Obviously a paid ad (getting a free unit in exchange for promotion).
Back to the topic... we have fulltimed for 5 years. 4 of those were with the first gen and now second gen Girard tankless water heaters. We absolutely love them. They use less propane, remove excess weight while towing, provide a steady stream of hot water.
They are not good for exactly the type of use the op suggests. Due to the cycling of burners and on/ off nature they are ideally suited to use where you have city water and sewer hookups. They also work best after upgrading your plumbing to use a household style pressure regulator.
We love our tankless water heater and we paid full price for both girard units. I installed both myself.
Nice follow up. What is it that you like the convenience or the savings? Maybe both? Is there any savings?
When we went full time the biggest complaint from the wife was the short showers. After some research I found and purchased the Girard. She can take as long and as hot a shower as she would like. So the reason was keeping a happy wife. There are a lot of additional benefits to the unit too.
OP - you still have not provided any evidence to counter the suggestion that you were compensated in some way for the post OR the idea that it was made up. Tankless units are great when you have hookups but are terrible for dry camping. They need continuous flow of water and do not work well with the on/off demands of dry camping.
