I have talked to some camping buddies in Europe who say Truma is a very respected brand there. Based on what I have read I am willing to pay full price for this unit, which I am told is $1199.00, as my wife is not looking for a unit that saves propane but one that she can use to wash her hair in the shower. Any propane savings are just a bonus. I am looking at the "Comfort" model as the Comfort Plus" is intended for OEMs. The Comfort Plus will provide instant hot water when you turn the faucet on (because it keeps the water in the lines always hot) but the slight delay to get it from the "Comfort" model is not a big deal for me. Having the wife happy is though !! I do agree that long hot showers and dry camping do not make much sense. In our case, if we dry camp, then it will be short, hot showers.
I am just waiting for someone near me (Virginia Beach area)to carry it so they are factory trained on the install.
I also read that the minimum water flow to make this work is .40 gallons per minute. That is my only concern...is that a problem?
