That is a drawback. Hopefully they will relax that in the future. I field tested this unit all summer last year. I have been very pleased. funpilot had one installed and seems to be happy with his. I kept my old one in case I sell or trade because I want to take this one to the next trailer. Like I said it's perfect for dry camping. Not sitting around the fire hearing that tank heater lighting up once in a while reheating the same 6 gal of water wasting propane. Plus the comfort model has a setting that will keep the water above 40* if camping in cold weather. Big deal for me as my toy hauler is not a 4 seasons rig. At times @ 7,000' it will get chilly in the fall.
