Penalizing the masses for the errors of the few.
I subscribe to the idea if you drive drunk, you lose your license for a lengthy, lengthy period of time. You wreck and kill someone, voluntary manslaughter at a minimum, possibly murder, since you drank in a premeditated fashion.
Problem is, folks will drive with no license. And if one's vehicle is equipped with the device, what is to prohibit the offender from just buying another vehicle, or borrowing one.. or driving the wife's, or brothers vehicle.
I don't agree that we all should be inconvenienced or impacted due to the criminal acts of the few. They are criminals, and will continue to work around things and continue to commit criminal acts.
