It's like the hyperbole that circulates about Mexico BFL. Give some of these squirrels a toe hold and they'll be on the roof in no time.
There isn't supposed to be -any- Delta T (difference in temperature between plates and electrolyte) in a cyclable battery. Period.
Starting batteries incur much greater Delta T due to wattage when discharging for starting an engine.
Adhesive mounting (like with Arctic Silver) a thermistor onto the negative battery post then sealing with gel coat is about as true an idea of what is going on, inside the battery as a person needs to know.
The same kind of malarkey goes on with vitamins and supplements. When the consumer claims....."it didn't work!" grab a roll of toilet paper...

- So then you buy everything off the shelf and try it
