I'm amazed that you boondock at those temperatures. I'd be in an RV park sucking power as hard as I could for the air conditioner.
Gassing voltage at 104 F (40 C) is 13.98 volts. Charging voltage is only 13.32, so a PD may have the potential to do some serious gassing with the 14.4 volts for 15 minutes every 21 hours.
