Neither !....for the 75% of us that don't fulltime, much less camp in hot weather.
And even then, when I'm at home, and the batteries are living in 100+ deg temps, and are being maintained by a cheap ole PD that has no temp comp, (I see 13.3 when ever I check) but yet I seldom add very little water, and (READ MY LIPS) MY batteries last just as long as your batteries !!
What on Gods green earth did ya all do for "temp comp" before solar, when your battrees were forced to live in hot temps ??
And your batteries lasted just as long as they will now,.....or you all said they did.
I'm not sure if my intelligence is being insulted by all this, or if I was just born yesterday, or ya all just like fooling yourselves in a battree fantasy land.

You can believe what you want in your battery fantasy land, but battery life is extended significantly when charge is controlled in respect to temperature.
Technology is a great thing and some advancements actually work much better when compared to legacy systems...
