How far apart will the internal, external and ambient temperatures be?
How does the controller use the info? Does it one voltage for 21 degrees and another for 22 or is it a range and you don't see a difference between 20 and 25 degrees and at 19 degrees it will change?
What I'm thinking is if the difference in temperature isn't more than a few degrees then you may not see a huge difference in what voltage the controller will choose.
Last question is how important is it to have TC for a rig in storage with fully charged batteries vs those in use?
I had thought I could get by with what I thought was a ambient sensor in the Eco-Worthy. Unfortunately after using them for a while I understand why Eco-Worthy does not advertize that it has TC, because it doesn't. I have seen it clip amps not volts when the case got hot but when BFL tried to cool it with ice packs it had no effect. The internal sensor is thermal protection for the controller in my opinion and that puts me back to square one for permanent mounting.
