Back to the issue at hand. Glad to have cleared out the riff-raff....Note for the record: One does not pay a smaller price by simply sitting quietly and allowing entitled men to abuse you. That's the highest price of all. Their shaming is punishment for having the self-respect to ask for what you need and hold others accountable for their bad behavior. Plain and simple. It's unacceptable in any community or forum to behave this way and we all know most of that would have never been said in front of me. Cowardly and sad...straight up.
k, so...the brakes....Two neighbors came over and, as I suspected, knew how to quickly test the system. All one had to do to test to be sure the controller was working was put a lighted probe on the prong on the 7-pin in the lower right position. It lit up. Then when we did the magnet test it worked, as did stopping the rotation of the tire on that side that as still on. My brakes are good. I don't know why they've felt so weak. I bought a new controller and will be installing that this week. I wonder if the fact that they were so dirty and hadn't been adjusted for a very long time had something to do with it. Hope so. Learned a lot this week.
Got 2 of the 4 wheels sorted, bearings greased, and tires back on and am now addressing the shock situation. That will be a new thread. I've got a leaf spring situation. :/
