hummm,
We have had a few first timers here. No profile, no name or where you are located. No RV experience listed. Many we have not heard from in ages. Well, welcome to the forum. Maybe later you might give us more about yourself. For me I doubt some of the numbers you give. But this is a forum and we all have one. An opinion, that is..... That is what makes this world so interesting. Some will call me a name like, Doubting Thomas.
(Laughing and smiling here) I was so excited to buy the generator, start it, goof around and then jump back on the forum, sign up and report what I had. I didn't get a chance to do a profile. So, here it goes.
I have a 1999 Ford Expedition 135000 miles, underdrive pulleys installed, Superchips programmer and 3" exhaust, tent camped as a kid, and again in my early 20's. My wife won't tent camp so we got a 29' 2009 Springdale Travel Trailer 2 years ago with hard start capacitor installed on AC unit. Have 4 children, live in Connecticut where we do most of our camping, we have camped in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, OBX North Carolina, and dry camped in Vermont. I am a firefighter paramedic with a strong mechanical background. I became exposed to the Honda 2000i and desired to own one or the likes. Looking on ebay, I was sucked into an inverter type 3000 watt generator. It didn't live up to its advertised end of the bargain. Research on the internet proved my theory correct and eventually brought me here. It was posts similar to yours and other contributors that helped me make a decision to purchase the 2 Champion generators I have. I just want to give back. I will do side by sides with meters. The numbers I posted are real. I am not sure what you are doubting. Certainly willing to do Youtube videos. I will say, the Champion 2000i tells you the truth about its performance. Nothing exaggerated. The 3000 watt from ebay was over rated in my opinion. I got burned. Don't want anyone to get burned, that is all. I'll update profile later today. Cheers!
