I just got back from an 8 night dry camping trip with the CPE 2000i.
This is the first time I've used it and it performed as I had hoped.
All I need is a generator to recharge the batteries and run a small appliance, like a toaster or coffee maker.
I use a 2/10/20/30/40A battery charger plugged directly into the generator and connect the trailer to the other outlet on the generator. The battery charger is faster than the converter in the trailer.
It does have the burping issue. It also seems to stall rather than revving to a higher RPM when higher loads are attached while in Econ. mode.
I am going to look into the module reprogramming. Like PrivatePilot, I am in Canada so we'll see how CPE or SuperGen accommodates us.
Oh, I had another camper (potential owner) drop in to my site to ask about the generator. While walking by he had assumed it was a Honda but then noticed it was yellow. :)
