Update: I took my new Costco red unit out for its first use this last weekend and was very pleased. Quiet and ran smoothly and did all I expected.

Regarding the customer service, I bought the last display unit and it didn't have any of the normally included accessories. I called CPE and they shipped out the little battery charger cable to me and the guy was very happy to chat about the few questions I had.
