What type plug fits the outlet on the left side of the parallel kit? I have used the 30amp RV outlet on the right but haven't used the left one.
I use one of these - converts the twist 30 amp to 2 x 20 amp standard 120 volt receptacles. One problem though, the twist lock is not tight and I have to tape it into the locked position to not be loose. Has anyone else had this problem using the left hand side twist lock receptacle on the parallel kit?
One of the first things I did when I got my parallel kit was to remove the twist lock outlet and throw it in the trash. I replaced it with a single 20 amp standard blade outlet. IMHO all the twist lock outlets do is make you buy an overly expensive adapter or extension cord. I have NEVER had a plug fall out of a standard outlet on a generator and see no need for twistlocks.
Very nice mod professor, but of course at this juncture, I'd be happy if the twist lock receptacle worked the way it was supposed to.
