Nope - I think you did a darn good job :)
In this type of charger current is a result of the voltage applied to the battery and would be a maximum before internal resistance of the charger transformer begins to drop charging voltage and thus lower current. Did you by chance measure voltage in the 200 amp starting or boost mode? The sucker is kicking out over 20 volts and will blow your dome light if your car door is open while using it to start a car with a dead battery. :E Still, it does a good job of burning off sulfation on the plates of a 8 volt golf cart battery.
Just like you shared - use of this type of charger needs to be monitored by the owner to be sure your battery is not cooked (sorry about your AGM - that hurts!). But, because they to not monitor the state of charge on a battery and automatically adjust voltage like a smart charger they will recharge a battery much faster.
