Ok...at least you are giving me an idea. I'm not going to have to spend hundreds of dollars on one.
Another question......would one of these 2000's be sufficient to run a floor heater or ceramic heater in our home during a power outage?
It will. I have demonstrated this in photos on this thread as well. Of course, the max would be a 1,500 watt (5200 BTU) heater. The little engine will be at full throttle. While a 1,000 watt heater will not be as warm, it will allow the 2000i to run in a more relaxed mode.
Thanks professor. It would be only in an emergency situation. More than likely would be in a small room of the house. I have one of those milkhouse heaters...max on it is 1500w and minimum 1300w. I will look for something with a lower wattage choice on it..
Guess I will pull the trigger on one of these babies. Home Depot has them online for $599 with free shipping.
We probably wouldn't use it until next camping season for dry camping, unless I can't stand it and gotta try it out...lol I want to go ahead nad have one for the winter time. Will start saving up for a 2nd one and the parallel kit. I have a couple of group 27 batteries. Those should work for the time being. Will probably upgrade to a couple of 6v later on. Now I need to start looking for a decent inexpensive charger and inverter.
