I know you've followed my thread on modifying and testing the PD9280, and although I wasn't specifically testing AC input voltage, I did make some tests of the performance with changing AC input voltage. My impression during testing was that you could get decent performance below 120 VAC. The actual numbers from my tests:
I got 80A output at the start, falling to 60A over 3 hours with only 105VAC input. I got full rated output of 80A at 13.6 volts DC at around 111-112 VAC (I believe 13.6 VDC is where PD promises to deliver the full output current) and I saw 75-80A at 14.4 VDC with about 113-114 VAC input.
None of this is directly applicable to the inverter gen discussed in this thread.
