The CPE will NEVER EVER NO WAY NO HOW, put out 2000VA. Not for 5 seconds, not for 1 second.
And AFAIK neither will the Honda. Every measurement report I've seen has it maxing out somewhere between 1,800 and 1,900 VA. But as the owners know, it does hang in there very well for startup loads.
