I wonder how Champion rates the sound output. On this and other generators the website doesn't indicate whether it is measured at idle, 1/4 load, 1/2 load, or full load? There could be a 10 dba difference between idle and full load.
For me, the db while running the AC is what I'm looking for. 59 db while in eco mode for charging will be nice on the rare occasion the solar isn't cutting it. Anything even close to the 68 db the 3500/4000 runs at while running the AC will make it a wash and not worth the upgrade.
