Mine will run the microwave at lower altitudes but once we're above 6000 ft or so it doesn't do so well. The microwave will come on & sorta work but it's obvious that it's just barely working. The voltage will drop to about 90 v and the Champion is really struggling. I think our microwave is about 1000w.
