For those that have had the updates done to their Champs. Have you been happy with the surge capacity?
I tried running my electric chain saw from a single Champ and it overloaded every time I pulled the trigger. This was with no load on the saw and the generator in econo or regular mode. Neither Champ could run the saw alone.
I then paralleled the two and they ran the chain saw in econo mode.
Sad thing is that my little 800/900 watt Harbor Freight generator has no trouble powering my chain saw. Sad, so very sad that the Champ has so little surge capacity.
