Mine did that too. On the advice of some others on this forum, I gave it a good dose of Sea Foam, started it up, and in about 15 mins it smoothed out & I haven't had a problem since. I was skeptical about the stuff working...sounded like the usual snake oil...but it did the trick for me. Worked in my old lawnmower, too. It's worth a try...beats tearing down & cleaning the carb.
