Well, if I can find out how it's doing that, I might be able to make a circuit that can enable a second 'slave'... It just depends on what information it's communicating and how.

Do you have any insulation penetrating probes? If someone can just get a scope shot of each line vs ground while in operation, along with what voltage and time scale you're using to get those shots, it would go a long way!
