I have lurked through 75 pages of this thread and feel like I have to at least say hello. I bought 2 of the yellow and black Champ 2000s at Costco in October for $469 each and the parallel connector for $59.00. They seem to run great and they synch easily. They have to be warm to start my 13.5 air conditioner but then run smoothly but I have not had to chance to try them at altitude or in hot weather yet. I can run the 1000 watt microwave on one genny but it works. I have the occasional thought to take them back to Costco and get a Honda 3000 but the weight and $2000.00 price tag stops me every time.
I did pick up a tip from my local fuel merchant though. He now sells ethanol free gasoline for about $5.00 a gallon. He says that the ethanol attacks water into the fuel and you should use the ethanol free gas if you are going to store the fuel in a generator for more than a month. He says that with the ethanol free gas and a good fuel stabilizer long term storage is not a problem. I don't know if this is a fact but it does make sense.
