OK, let's forget about the propane question. My biggest issue was hauling around the generator and that's a non issue if it can go in the TV. I can find a place for gas cans.
I want to be able to run a 13.5K BTU ac unit. I can get used but very good condition paralleled 2000i generators or a new larger 3100 watt for about the same price.
It seems like the paralleled 2000i would provide more power and flexibility. Is there something special about the new 3100 unit that I should consider when comparing to paralleled 2000 watt units?
I have experience with my 2000i's paralleled and my 2009 Springdale with the 13.5k Coleman and I had to put a hard start capacitor. They start the ac unit with eco off. After that, they can be moved to eco mode. The Safety Trailer we have at the firehouse has a 15k ac unit and starts easier, truly can't remember if it will on echo mode or not, but with other inverter type generators, I've had good luck starting that unit.
The 3100 unit from champion, I drooling over and am trying to figure out how I can get my hands on one for testing.
