"S" is the voltage SENSE terminal. It is also a field power terminal so do not restrict current. Use a 10-amp Shottkey to increase voltage from the factory 14.5 setting (temp slumps voltage via thermistor voltage divider biasing). Switch in the Shottkey to raise voltage by an average of .4 - .5 volt. A DPDT dash switch will work fine. Center off position on the alternate switch leg is for ign which turns the alternator off.
