Thetford Residence
Anyone have any experience with the Residence toilet? I see it is polymer, rather than porcelain. Does it hold up? Does it stain? Is the flush any better than other toilets?
We have a Thetford Style II in the H. The flush pedal on the first one fell off as we were driving. The dealer replaced the whole toilet, saying the pedal is not repairable. That was late one season, and the new one lost its flush pedal the next season the same way. I spoke with a Thetford rep at a rally, and he explained how to put the pedal back on. But now it has to be pushed down and up manually – the spring doesn't work. I have checked the repair, and everything is in the right place. Even redid it a couple times without improvement.
We've heard the Residence is a better toilet. Wife needs ADA height (paraplegia) and prefers a home style seat. We hate to buy another toilet if it will not be any better than what we have. Any opinions on the Residence vs. Style II?:h
