Thickness of coroplast for underbelly enclosure?

I'm getting ready to close up and insulate the underbelly. It turns out that there are several thicknesses of coroplast for the bottom panel. I am leaning toward half inch paneling, but I was wonder...

I will of course be using aluminum stringers to support the coroplast. Sounds like quarter inch is adequate -- I want something tough enough to stand up to minor road debris, splashes off of wet pavement, etc.
