We don't even know if the OP has a refrigerator with multiple settings-- and if so, what it was set on.
They need to verify that the thermistor is still attached to the fins.
A $10 (from Walmart) Acurite remote thermometer would be a good investment.
A 2-D cell powered fan inside the refrigerator will keep temperatures more consistent throughout the refrigerator (may be that poor air circulation in the refrigerator lead to just a small area being below freezing-- no idea if this is the case or if the whole thing was too cold.
SO-- what refrigerator do you have? Is the thermistor attached to the refrigerator fin? If different temperature settings, what is it set on?
