Thoughts on oil change intervals (time, not mileage)

Why is mine the only common sense post in the whole thread ?

Here it is again....

Yep, I too use process of analyzation,....I analyze it by eyeball,...when I
don't like the looks of it, I change it,....excluding maybe diesels

Deciphered as,...if its gettin dirty, change it. Common sense ??
