Time for a new A/C ?

SO we are getting ready for a trip next week and DW says A/C is blowing hot air. Well it's not hot just not very cold.

So I pull the cover and the compressor is too hot to touch.
Coils are all clear and flowing air.

So first thought is it is not starting. But I've got a warm line to the condenser and the capillary tube is ice cold.

I pull the cover off the evaporator and find a lump of ice at the point the capillary tube connected to the evaporator. The rest of the evaporator is at ambient temperature.

Shut it down and within 2 minutes the ice is gone. Total amount of ice was about the size of an ice cube.

Let it sit about 10 minutes and restarted it. Within 2 minutes the ice has returned at the same spot.

Thinking I have a very small leak at that point.

If so considering the unit is over 6 year old, might as well swap it rather than get into repairing an old unit.
