Hi,
I had to move the generator back to the middle--it was torquing the rack far too much. I could feel a handling difference--though I did not re weigh the RV. I am favoring the passengers side slightly now.
I really don't think I want something that I can't see in front of the RV, so I'm giving up on the idea of a front receiver, too.
I have a roller in the OEM receiver which touches down 1/4 inch before the rest of the RV. One of the side benefits of the taller tires is that it has only come into action once per week--whereas before almost any approach would cause a scrape.
