I don't think you need a new furnace. I'm not experienced with furnaces. You should do a search on your model. I'm sure there's a troubleshooting flow chart some where out there. The thermocouple would have to have time to get hot before it would shut off the gas. A control circuit for this could be a problem. I know there's replacement boards available and I'm sure they don't cost $600. Sounds like you just need to expand your RV education to this system to get on a more personal level with your rig.
