I have a different brand of heaters, but the way mine work is that the control board gets a signal from the thermostat, turns on the fan, (and if the fan switch senses enough air movement), turns on the igniter, and then turns on the propane. Of course, since you have a different product yours may work differently. I've had to replace the blower motors on both of my heaters because the bearings wore out and they wouldn't blow adequately.
