Toilet broke loose!

Either means of fastening will be great! Getting a good seal, and solid bolt down, will be good to go! (and go n go)

I had this exact problem.

I used this flange ring: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Oatey-1-4-in-Stainless-Steel-Toilet-Flange-Replacement-Ring-427782/303864005

Note that it has curved edges, and is not flat.

I kept the broken pieces, and kept them under the flange ring for more support.

I also had to do some minor trimming on the bottom of the toilet since the flange ring takes up slightly more room under toilet.

If you are going to use a wax gasket in your home make sure you get the better one with the plastic funnel built in, a regular wax gasket will leak if your toilet has even a tiny amount of movement, a foam gasket is preferred for any toilet install, they come in a couple of thicknesses. Replaced lots of leaking wax gaskets in homes.

Back in the old days that’s how toilets were held down.

I don' think you're supposed to use wax rings in RV's. RV toilets come with foam rings.

I had the same thing happen to mine. It is not glued in I can just about promise you. Tanks are generally polyethylene and sewer fitting are ABS, so gluing them in is not an option. Mine had a one piece flange with 3" NPT that screwed into the tank. It was tight as heck largely due to the fact that some type of non hardening caulk was applied to the threads. I had to take a heat gun and heat up the threads from the inside(oh yeah, smelled great!), then I could unscrew it.

Must have had seatbelt on at time of launch.

Not sure why anyone would unscrew their pipe from the tank and risk a potential leak. Simply use the thin plate shown or the bolt/lags I mentioned and get er dun.
