toilet plumbing

I need some advice from all you would be or actual plumbers. I have to replace the toilet in my toyhauler. The water supply from old toilet goes along the front storage compartment has a 90 degree elbow then goes through the wall. On the other side(toilet side)the pipe protrudes about 2"-3" and threads straight into the toilet. The new toilet water inlet is off to one side and further from the wall. The existing pipes are pex. If anyone has advice on the cheapest/easiest way to move the pipes I am all ears. I would be willing to drill a new hole through the wall if necessary. I've heard chatter about all types of fittings etc. so info about that is important. I don't know if it matters but I am going from a Thetford aqua magic style II to a Dometic 310. Thanks in advance

Usually there is a connector at the toilet.. usually 1/2 inch IPT thread

You use flexible line from there to the new toilet

I will install a quarter turn valve when I replace mine and flex tube (Hose) from there on. The metal braided kind.
  • Thank you folks. I used a shark bite elbow with a steel braided hose from there. It worked excellent. Thanks for the advice

    X2

I always like adding a shutoff valve to toilet whenever possible.
Hate having to kill the whole water supply just to do anything on toilet. They should have one OEM.

  • If you have room, leave what's there, use a 1/2 x 1/2 male elbow and a stainless 1/2 x 1/2 faucet hookup.
  • I would use a sharkbite fitting and steel braided feed to the toilet.
