Good day to all. Well I WADED into this process and wanted to share my experience. I have the Thetford Style II. The seal replacement kit from a dealer was $12.42+tax. Directions were easy to follow (learning the terminology as I went---what ever happened to calling it a small thingy or a large thing?) I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of "sewer" odor..a real plus. I am not particularly handy but by taking their step by step made me handy at this. The directions call for adding "supplied grease" but there was no grease, so I put it together anyway. I poured some Thetford toilet seal conditioner on the assembled product. The new seal is not holding water completely so I am hoping it will seat in with the blade. I will probably do the olive oil thing as well.
All in all, the thought of the project was worse than the process.
Raining all day today...Smithville Smith's Fork CG, MO.
