I was just on the Internet looking at replacement 15k units, since I was having issues with mine, and right now there are Dometic Brisk 15k units selling for a little over $500. At that price, I wouldn't even consider trying to rescue an old Carrier unit. Although, I think you have to buy the controller and thermostat separately.
