Good to hear that you were able to run the window unit for that length of time. 40 amps continuous, I can only dream.....
I don't know what your overnight temps are but here in MN, it gets down to 60-65F most nights. If you start off in the AM with the night air in the trailer, I bet the 5K unit would have a better go at keeping temps down through the day.
Also churning under my thinking cap, how much additional draw is an 8K or 10K unit? The Mitsubishi splits are also noted for their efficiency. I'll have to look at these specs if I forge ahead down the AC trail.
