Towing Camper with A/C Running.

Let’s say we just got to the campsite. Started setting up the site and realized how hot it was inside the camper. The question is, in a travel trailer with no generator, can I run the A/C while I’m driving? It sure would be a lot easier on my wife while setting up camp
  • The AC requires 120 Volt AC power.
If not plugged into shore power, you would have to have a generator to power the rooftop unit. I guess you could stop a half hour before reaching your destination to start a genny and run a power cord, but short of that, or having a large battery bank with an equally large inverter, your stuck with starting the AC after getting to a site.
