Yes and people still fall for the thought that the grid is about to collapse under load due to the required marketing to give your appliances the afternoon off being projected since at least the 1960s. OK there might be a few places that are in need of immediate upgrade with or without EVs. What are they waiting for?
The good part is there is a strong correlation to owning an EV and having solar on the roof. The roof solar continues to feed the grid when at home or when towing a trailer with an EV.
