I have a TST with my 34' TT without the repeater. Usually works fairly well (caught three leaky tires this last summer). However every once in a while I will lose the signal from one of the tires and it will beep every time it looks at that tire. It annoys me that I can't reset the beeping every time it does this. I am considering buying the repeater to avoid this problem.
Oh BTW, when the tire temperatures get up around 100 degrees (F) they all seem to drop out till I take a break and let the tires cool down a bit. One for the X-files.
As for the leaks I experienced. That was due to failure of the rubber valve stems installed on the tires. Rubber can't take the weight of the sensors. It took a while to find a tire shop that had the right kind of metal valve stems in stock.
