- Golden_HVACExplorerYou might want to ask the experts at HomePower.com Magazine. They might even have that model remote control in their power system, who knows. It is a small publishing company, with about 15 very knowledgeable workers, who are experts on solar, inverters and batteries.

Fred.
Thank you. I'll call them this week. Since Trace is out of business I'm hoping I can get this fixed without replacing the whole system : / - PhilsExplorerI have an SW2512MC Trace inverter with that same display, although I don't have the remote panel that you do. I have a connector on the unit for a remote. If I had a remote, I'd have that same display still on the unit itself. (I hope that all makes sense).
So my questions are: do you have the display on the unit and does it read the same as your remote?
Does the unit seem to work properly just have a faulty display?

Thanks for the reply.
-I do not have a remote. I have always controlled the inverter/charger via the control panel.
-The inverter will turn now only when I turn it on on the actual unit under the seat. The control panel will not turn it on or charge the batteries when plugged in. I tried pressing menu buttons but it's all unreadable like the main screen shows now. - PhilsExplorerWell, dang, PC. If not a remote, then your picture is of the control panel normally attached to the unit but in this cased mounted elsewhere? But you say you can turn it on at the unit? I thought the one I have might be identical to yours, but without using that panel I can't turn mine on.
And if it is the control panel that was removed from the unit, is there a blanking plate where the unit was? Can you attach a pic of it?
You might also try the forums at Wind-sun That's a great group that will know more about the unit you have and possible problems/fixes.
What model do you have?
