New contacts are harden, to keep them from wearing to fast, once they arc and burn enough to start sticking, you replace the transfer switch
In an industrial situation the machinery tech, will replace the contactor relay, to get the machine running, then rebuild the bad 0ne with new parts, and put it on the shelf for the next time a similar machine breaks down
RV transfer switches do not come with a parts list and part numbers for DIY repairs
In a have too situation I might be able to source some parts to make a repair, but I have that experience as part of my working life
