That's essentially what I'm doing (the cord is plugged into an extension that goes to the inverter).
Now unplug....or unhardwire your converter, and add whatever 12 ga cord (romex) needed to plug it into the generator. Now if the solar don't cut it, the generator will. What am I missing.
Okay, that's just a different way of saying what others have been saying, I think. I need to look at my wiring diagram a little more to understand this step.
