That's cool, but I thought they have had magnetic bearing fans for a while now- like this one from Newegg-
Now "magnetic barometric" sounds a bit like sales speak, but....
The magnetic barometric bearing replaces the ball bearing with magnets, and the fan shaft is suspended in the air for a truly friction free operation. The new technology allows the UC-12EB to produces up to 44 CFM at 1000RPM with 17db noise level, and achieves up to 40,000 hours MTBF for years of hassle-free use.
